The weight of an echo the deepest of all.
Down on my knees, clenching my fists,
Head bowed before an axe.
Whispers of clouds,
Tendrils of ice,
The murmuring stars
And the breath of the night.
I feel the song,
The call of the wild;
Echoes inside of a hole in my heart.
Can ya hear it?
Can ya feel it?
The weight of an echo the deepest of all.

The clouds in the sky in my eyes.
A life I ain't lived,
A tree on a hill,
A hole that I can't understand.
A place of song,
And memories long gone,
The tears of the past in the sky,

I tread a lost path, still shadows cast long,
Echoes whispering relics' prophecies.
The empty streets and slumbering houses
Like cast bones forewarning the way's turnings.
But all that that is, is a sleeper's dream.
A glum nightmare too easily dispelled
By the stirring call of the light of dawn.
I found my light in the darkness and stars:
Burning in private, brilliant and intense,
No doubt possessed by loneliness's song.
Sitting here I wonder if they're aware
Of the beautiful void that connects them.
